Avocado is the core long-term crop of IAFL. The farm is expanding its avocado orchards with a focus on yield optimization, fruit quality and phytosanitary control. Production is oriented toward structured buyers and premium markets, supported by improved irrigation, nutrition management and nursery development.
IAFL operates Mgera Farm, a 45 hectare agricultural farm strategically located in the Iringa region, developed as a commercial production unit, innovation hub and demonstration farm. The farm integrates open-field production, greenhouse cultivation and infrastructure, allowing to diversify crops and professional operations.
Currently, Mgera Farm has over 12 hectares of avocado orchards, continuously expanding, greenhouses units for vanilla and horticultural products and open field production. Also, areas for a compost plant, nurseries and training activities.

IAFL operates a compost production unit, supplying organic inputs for its own crops and for commercial compost sales. Is focus on high-quality compost, with rich content on organic matter, nutrients and microelements in order to improves soil health and productivity.
